IN ESSENTIAL BELIEFS, WE HAVE UNITY…
The essentials are doctrinal positions and beliefs clearly laid out in Scripture that are not, as the Apostle Paul stated; “disputable” issues. “There is one Body and one Spirit…there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all”. Ephesians 4:4-6
IN NON-ESSENTIAL BELIEFS, WE HAVE LIBERTY…
Non-essentials are beliefs in which thoughtful and well-intentioned Christians may interpret Scripture differently. They are the beliefs which are secondary to the eternal security of the believer through faith in Jesus Christ. John 3:16
IN ALL OUR BELIEFS, WE SHOW LOVE…
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing…. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13
FAITH AND PRACTICE
Scripture is the final authority in all manners of faith and practice. The church recognizes that it cannot bind the conscience of individual members in areas where Scripture is silent. Rather, each believer is to be led in those areas by the Holy Spirit, to Whom he or she is ultimately responsible. The shepherding staff of THAT church will teach Scripture as it has been given by God. We place no limitations on the power and authority of the Holy Spirit to minister to each and every individual as He desires. We believe all things are to be done in decency and order, as the Holy Spirit does not operate in confusion and chaos. We believe that all matters of “Christ Inside” living are revealed in His Word (The Bible) and He watches over His Word to perform it.
